Working in partnership

The Trellis Project is a partnership of Birmingham City Council, Birmingham Voluntary Services Council, Employability Forum, Jobcentre Plus, the Learning and Skills Council, West Midlands Strategic Partnership for Asylum and Refugee Support, and the Refugee Employment and Training Advocacy Forum.

Trellis works with these key partners and other agencies and organisations to ensure that employment support services in Birmingham are more user-friendly to refugee job-seekers.

We aim to streamline the provision of employment support services to refugees and build bridges between mainstream service providers and Birmingham’s refugee community.

The Trellis Project also supports the Refugee Employment and Training Advocacy Forum (RETAF), which works to strengthen the capacity of refugee communities and ensure that they can participate in the development of employment support services in Birmingham.
